Oh prom! A fairy tale concept that never ceases to fancy American high school girls from the excitement of the date to finding the perfect dress. Now if you're anything like me, you hold on to those gems (the dresses that is) for good ole' memories sake. Sitting in your closet, those poor dresses only gracefully enjoyed your presence for just one night.

Last year, as I observed on fashion blogs the resurgence of the classic 1950's A-line tea length skirts, I started to think - how can I recreate this look at an affordable price? At last, the prom dress has found it's way back into my wardrobe. By simply cutting off the tube top and altering the waist line, I made my very own midi-skirt, embedded with craft, care, and of course, nostalgia.
