The street art in Austin never ceases to amaze me. Each mural has its own message, sometimes reflecting a neighborhood's identity, and sometimes the artist's hidden agenda - a form of self-expression much like an outfit. Right outside of The Green & White Grocery and botanica on East 7th Street resides this 'Día de los Muertos' mural, one of my favorites because of its festive mystique. Enriching a community through both art and architecture lets the people find a place of their own to relate to and connect with, for whatever reason it might be. For me, it's about integrating my love for street art and street style, and their inherent relationship to architecture.
